ARM Developer Suite (ADS) is an integrated development environment and toolchain for building, debugging, and optimizing software for ARM-based embedded systems. Developed by ARM Limited, it combines a highly optimizing C/C++ compiler, assembler, linker, runtime libraries, an instruction-set simulator, and a source-level debugger that works with both simulators and target hardware via JTAG. ADS streamlines the full workflow—from project setup and cross-compilation to on-target debugging and performance tuning—and supports a wide range of ARM cores used in microcontrollers, application processors, and SoC designs.
